Where did this idea come from?
We are inundated by advertising all day long, so it's no wonder so many people (not just kids) think if they just get the latest and greatest thingamabob they'll be happy (that's what advertising wants us to think). I think that's bunk and I wanted to say so in a way that wasn't too preachy or boring.
